Queensland, AU, August 14, 2019: The beautiful region of The Whitsundays, the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, is scheduled to host the Queensland Rally Championship in May next year. The rally will span across 120 kms of private and council land, showcasing the unique and beautiful wonders of the region. This stage of the Queensland Rally Championship will be a part of the first ever Whitsundays Festival of Motoring, which is a three-day action-packed festival that will be hosted from 3rdto 5thof May 2019.
The Queensland Rally Championship 2019 forms the first of The Whitsundays Festival of Motoring event that will gradually be developed over a three-year commitment. The first year being dedicated to developing the foundations of the festival and will include a round of the Queensland Rally Championship called Rally Whitsunday. This round will serve as a candidate round with the potential to host an Australian Round Championship that is aimed to take place as part of The Whitsundays Festival of Motoring in the second or third year. Following these successes, the aim is to develop the event to host FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship in the near future.
It’s going to be a family-friendly weekend event covering a broad range of interesting activities for both kids and adults alike and certainly the motoring sport enthusiasts.
